William Lupton
Those who sing well, pray twice - Attributed to St. Augustine of Hippo.

William Lupton has been Chapel Organist and Director of Music at Huron since 1995. In addition to playing services, he prepares students who have a music leadership role in worship, teaches the organ scholars to play Sunday worship, and teaches part-time in the Faculty of Theology.

An organist for several decades, he is accredited in organ performance and church music from England and Canada. He has led two choir singing tours of England with a third taking place in 2019. He has directed two choir recordings of anthems and Christmas music.

He is Acting President of the Royal School of Church Music Canada, and administrator-head examiner of the RSCM Singing Awards. In 2015 he received the Order of Huron for contributions to church music in the Diocese of Huron and at Huron University College, and in 2016 was elected an Associate of the Royal School of Church Music.
