Huron University Announces New Strategic Plan for 2023 – 2028
LONDON, ON - To support the continued growth of Huron University and its role as a leading liberal arts university in Canada, Huron is proud to share its new 2023 - 2028 Strategic Plan.
Over the past five years, Huron has experienced remarkable growth in enrolment, campus facilities, and external reputation. This Strategic Plan has been developed by building on Huron’s recent success, while also identifying key areas for enhancement for the future.
The launch of the new Strategic Plan follows an extensive consultation process with the Huron Community that allowed for a collaborative approach to the plan’s development. This included significant contributions from community members, including students, staff, faculty, and alumni.
The new plan embodies three goals or foundational pillars that will define Huron’s success over the next five years. Those include:
- A Community that Includes Everyone
- A Community that Engages the World
- A Community that Endures
As Huron continues to grow, this Strategic Plan will be the backbone of the university’s development. In the short term, the specific deliverables for the various goals and strategic objectives will be developed by the appropriate departments in working together to operationalize the Strategic Plan's vision.
Part of Huron’s mission is to be an academic institution built on a foundation of intellectual rigour, a belief in the common good, and a commitment to civic engagement – challenging community members to be Leaders with Heart.
Drawing upon these existing strengths, Huron will be well-equipped to more fully embody the pillars outlined in Huron’s 2023 - 2028 Strategic Plan and continue to gain momentum in its mission to be an academic community that cares for each other and the world.
